LA GRANDE — Those who drive your children will meet those who teach your children on the softball field and all for a good cause.

In the first year of action, the “Teachers Versus the Bus Drivers Softball Game” will hit the field at Pioneer Park on Saturday, May 11, starting at noon.

A barbecue follows the game.

Donations accepted for the day will be passed on to the Mt. Emily Safe Center in La Grande. The center provides services to children and families in Northeast Oregon impacted by child abuse.
