NORTHEAST OREGON — Area branches and wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be taking part in the 194th semi-annual general conference on April 6-7, during which church leaders from around the world share messages or sermons focused on Jesus Christ and his gospel. Participating in the virtual general conference helps us learn how we can find peace, hope, and joy through Jesus Christ as we learn more about receiving personal guidance and inspiration from God, according to the announcement.
The free conference consists of five sessions, starting at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. (PDT) on both days, and a session on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Visit the church’s website for more information and links to join the conference’s livestream.
The “Come, Follow Me” lesson for the week of April 1 is based on Jacob 1-4, which is found in the Book of Mormon. This lesson focuses on the blessings of chastity and the need to avoid a prideful heart. All lesson materials are available in the free Gospel Library mobile app.
