NORTHEAST OREGON — For the Divine service on Sunday, April 14, at Faith Lutheran Church, the sermon will be based on Luke 24:36-49. In these verses Jesus is in his resurrected body greeting his followers with “Peace to you!” (verse 36). He further encourages them to confirm the resurrection of his body with “See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Touch Me, and see” (verse 39).
To give us further understanding of the resurrected life to come Jesus said, “‘Have you anything to eat?’ They gave a piece of broiled fish, and He took it and ate it before them” (verses 41-43). What joys are to come for the faithful in Christ Jesus!
The service in La Grande begins at 10 a.m., following Sunday school at 8:45 a.m. The service in Enterprise is at 2 p.m.
On Saturday, April 13, the women’s group, Koinonia, will gather for a meeting at 10 a.m.
