We are writing this in support of Dave Drotzmann for the Oregon Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Bill Hansell. We have known Dave for some time now and have come to appreciate all he has done for family, his profession, community and region as youth coach, school board member, Hermiston mayor and League of Oregon Cities president.

He has worked diligently and conscientiously for our region for decades and will continue to do so in the Oregon Senate on important issues such as education, affordable health care, child care and housing.

More importantly, despite the ideological and economic differences that have contributed to the “urban-rural divide,” Dave will work beyond and above the polarizing paralysis of past legislative sessions and work to craft proposals based on our commonality, not our differences.
