LA GRANDE — The following local churches have submitted announcements to The Observer. To have your church news published, email them to news@lagrandeobserver.com.

On Sunday, April 21, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in La Grande will celebrate morning prayer led by Deacon Linda Hale starting at 10 a.m. Coffee and fellowship immediately follow the service.

The Worship Committee at the La Grande First Christian Church meets at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18. Sunday services begin at 10:30 a.m., with adult Bible study held at 9 a.m. The elders will meet after the service April 21.

Other Bible studies offered are the Homemakers group on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.; the Mighty Men at 11 a.m. on Mondays; and the Bible Sleuths on Mondays at 4 p.m.

On Sunday, April 21, the sermon at Faith Lutheran Church in La Grande will consider how Jesus confirms his authority, referring to John 10:17-18. Following the Divine service will be the monthly Church Council meeting.

Bible studies are at 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning; at Grande Ronde Retirement at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays; and a Bible study group for women on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. in La Grande, and at 12:15 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in Enterprise.

At the region’s wards and branches of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday, April 21, members of the La Grande Stake High Council and their companions will speak during the Sacrament services. Auxiliary group meetings will be held during the second hour.

The “Come, Follow Me” lesson for the week of April 15 is based on the Books of Enos, Jarom, Omni and The Words of Mormon.
