LA GRANDE — Both the Baker/Powder Valley baseball and softball teams arrived in La Grande on Friday, April 26, to hit the fields in 4A Greater Oregon League action.

The Bulldogs also arrived to join with their league foes in support of a Tiger needing encouragement.

Cade McKinley, son of La Grande baseball coach Parker McKinley was recently diagnosed with an undisclosed life-threatening disease. He was immediately transported to a Portland hospital to begin treatment.

While La Grande students immediately started support for the Tiger, both visiting teams from Baker/Powder Valley also arrived donning apparel in support of McKinley.

At the current time, the McKinley family is requesting no fundraising take place. Bracelets supporting McKinley are currently available at Fitzgerald Flowers in La Grande.
