FRIDAY, APRIL 26
2:45 a.m. Stanley Dale James Jr., 47, was arrested in Umatilla County on a Union County failure to appear warrant.
6:05 a.m. La Grande police responded to Denny’s for a domestic disturbance. Officers found that one of the individuals involved was already gone when law enforcement arrived. The situation was believed to be only verbal in nature.
7:27 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about suspicious circumstances at Second Street and F Street in North Powder. Deputies responded and took the information.
7:55 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a call about a wildlife concern on the 600 block of North 10th Street in Union. A deputy responded and dispatched the deer.
8:20 a.m. Law enforcement took a report of harassment from the 3000 block of Q Avenue. A school resource officer made contact and explained the available options.
8:38 a.m. A caller told La Grande police that an elderly person had wandered away from their home. The responding officers located the individual and helped them return home.
9:29 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a runway on the 3200 block of Columbia Street.
10:12 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a runaway from the 2500 block of Gekeler Lane. An officer advised and the juvenile returned home.
10:15 a.m. La Grande police responded to The La Grande Inn and trespassed two subjects.
10:50 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a runaway from the 900 block of Y Avenue. An officer made contact and the parent located the youth.
11:02 a.m. A Union County Sheriff’s deputy and Oregon State Police trooper responded to the 69300 block of Summerville Road for a trespass. OSP cited one individual.
1:45 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a careless driver at Halley Road and Highway 82. A deputy responded and counseled the subject.
2:20 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a suspicious vehicle on the 1200 block of U Avenue. An officer responded and informed the subject that he must move the motorhome.
3:15 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for theft at Walmart in Island City.
4:15 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a theft on the 2200 block of Oak Street. An officer reached out and the items were returned.
5:35 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a drug law violation at Safeway. An officer responded and trespassed the subjects.
5:37 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2700 block of North Greenwood and officially trespassed a subject.
6:16 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a vehicle stolen from Elgin Foodtown. A deputy reached out and took a report.
6:29 p.m. La Grande police received a call about an assault on the 500 block of Lake Avenue. Officers responded and explained the available options.
6:43 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s office responded to Walmart in Island City and officially trespassed one subject.
SATURDAY, APRIL 27
12:29 a.m. La Grande police received a call about child neglect on the 3000 block of Q Avenue. Officers responded and notified Child Protective Services.
1:53 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nathan Russell Osterloh, 38, on a probation and parole detainer.
2:17 a.m. A Union County Sheriff’s deputy observed a careless driver near Lucky’s Pub and Eatery in Island City. The deputy stopped the vehicle and arrested Tylee Robbin Browning, 24, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, two counts of hit-and-run, reckless driving and recklessly endangering another person.
9:25 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft from the 500 block of East Fir Street in Union.
10:21 a.m. While out with a vehicle on May Lane, La Grande police arrested Katrina Lynn Andrews, 44, for second-degree theft.
10:45 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Island City for a trespass. A deputy cited Michael David Hanson, 45, for first-degree trespass and third-degree theft.
1:44 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a possible assault on the 66700 block of Indian Creek Road in Elgin. A deputy made contact and explained the options available.
4:47 p.m. La Grande police took a complaint of a sex crime.
5:40 p.m. La Grande police took a complaint of a sex crime.
6:48 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a careless driving on the 1400 block of Progress Loop. Officers responded and warned the subject.
6:49 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a possible missing person from the Tamarack Courts Apartments. An officer responded and the person was located.
7:01 p.m. La Grande police trespassed a subject from the 1000 block of Frontier Court.
7:07 p.m. La Grande police responded to the Royal Motor Inn and officially trespassed a subject.
10:17 p.m. La Grande police responded to the La Grande United Methodist Church for a burglary. Officers arrested Mark E Caruthers, 69, for second-degree criminal trespass. He was also arrested on a statewide parole board warrant.
SUNDAY, APRIL 28
7:03 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a noise disturbance on the 3000 block of Q Avenue. An officer responded and warned one for disorderly conduct.
10:21 a.m. La Grande police took a report of a theft on the 600 block of 18th Street.
11:09 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a disturbance at Pioneer Drive and Palmer Avenue. The responding officer determined that the situation was only verbal in nature and separated the subject.
11:46 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about telephonic harassment on the 600 block of North 11th Avenue in Elgin. A deputy made contact and explained the available options.
12:38 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2900 block of Third Street for a report of an intoxicated person. Officers arrested Aristeo Rubio Roque on a restraining order violation and supplying contraband.
2:32 p.m. La Grande police responded to Safeway and arrested Tyler John Sheridan for first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree theft. Sheridan was also arrested on a probation and parole detainer.
4:03 p.m. La Grande police responded to Wildflower Lodge and trespassed a subject.
7:56 p.m. Oregon State Police arrested Marcus Sean Hall, 39, on a Union County cite to appear warrant with an original charge of fourth-degree assault.
11:48 p.m. La Grande police arrested Joseph Paul Fresquez, 50, on two Union County failure to appear warrants.
MONDAY, APRIL 29
5:14 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a suspicious person at Riverside Park. Officers responded and determined that the subject was fine.
9:06 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a dog that was stolen from the 2800 block of Third Street. An officer made contact and took the information. The reporting party got the dog back.
9:17 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about possible animal neglect on the 70 block of Rapid Run Loop in La Grande and the information was logged for an animal enforcement officer.
10:34 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Island City for shoplifting. A deputy took the information and law enforcement will follow up.
10:37 a.m. La Grande police received a call about a trespass at A-1 Mini Storage. An officer responded and will follow up.
11:01 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about harassment at La Grande Middle School. A school resource officer made contact and took the information.
12:47 p.m. La Grande police received a call from Grande Ronde Retirement Residence about identity theft. An officer responded and took the information.
3:35 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a theft on the 1700 block of Oak Street.
3:55 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about the theft of a bicycle at Pinehurst Apartments. An officer responded and took a report.
4:28 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a theft on Mt. Emily Road in La Grande. A deputy made contact and will follow up.
4:39 p.m. La Grande police took a noise complaint at the Thunderbird-Cove Apartments. An officer responded and explained the options available.
5:01 p.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a trespass on the 1800 block of Russell Avenue in La Grande. A deputy responded and explained the options available.
5:13 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 3000 block of Q Avenue for a disturbance. The responding officer determined that the situation did not rise to the level of a mandatory arrest.
6:27 p.m. La Grande police logged information provided by a caller from the 1600 block of 25th Street about fraud.
8:22 p.m. La Grande police took a complaint of a noise disturbance on the 3000 block of Q Avenue. Officers responded, but were not able to make contact with the individuals.
9:20 p.m. A caller told law enforcement about an aggressive dog at Blue Springs Crossing in Island City. La Grande police officers responded and trespassed one subject.
11:44 p.m. La Grande police arrested Marisol Patricia Argueta, 25, on a probation and parole detainer.
