LA GRANDE — La Grande graduate and Wyoming and Utah State quarterback Andrew Peasley signed a rookie contract with the NFL’s New York Jets on Monday, May 6, after the completion of the team’s rookie minicamp over the weekend.
In playing for four years at Utah State and two years at Wyoming, Peasley threw for 4,395 yards with 37 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He rushed for 1273 yards and 12 touchdowns in that time.

Peasley was a three-year starter at quarterback for the Tigers and twice earned honorable mention all-state honors. He threw for 4,318 yards and 45 touchdowns and rushed for 931 yards and 23 TDs. As a senior, he led La Grande to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs.
