Seldom do I feel as strongly about supporting a candidate for local offices as I do about Kathleen Cathey running for Union County commissioner. I have admired her for years, and after reading more about her on her websites I know she is the one who can best serve locally. Aren’t we lucky to have such great other candidates as well? Hearing Cathey at the candidate forum March 21 in Union, she was clearly best suited to get started without a big learning curve.

Kathleen has expertise in working with diverse groups, locals and state agencies. Networking with others across the state won’t be starting over — she’s on it already. She shows up, gets things done efficiently and cares for all of us. She is so professional and human to deal with as demonstrated on her Facebook page and from her sponsors.

On Cathey’s candidate website you will see more reasons to support her and opportunities to connect (www.kathleenforcommissioner.com).

Two of our commissioners are men — Kathleen would represent women and men well and add diversity to our county government. She’s younger, energetic, smart, local, educated, kind and ready to go.
