NORTHEAST OREGON — The La Grande Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold its semi-annual Stake Conference for all 13 area congregations on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19.

A leadership training meeting will take place from 4:30-6 p.m. (PDT) on Saturday, followed by an adult general session at 7 p.m. Sunday’s general session will go from 10 a.m. to noon. All meetings will be held in the La Grande church on Gekeler Lane.

Also this week, the annual father/son outing and Priesthood Commemoration is planned for Friday and Saturday, May 16-17. Information and assignments have been emailed to all members.

The “Come, Follow Me” lesson for the week of May 13 is based on Mosiah 11-17, which is found in the Book of Mormon. This lesson includes the story of Abinadi’s powerful testimony of Jesus Christ, for which he was martyred by fire by King Noah.
