8:55 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Elizabeth Ann Cantrell, 22, on 13 Union County failure to appear warrants.
9:43 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about suspicious circumstances on the 1600 block of Seventh Street. An officer responded and warned the subject for disorderly conduct.
11:06 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 1600 block of Seventh Street for a welfare check. Officers arrested Russell Raymond Kahut, 59, for second-degree disorderly conduct.
11:25 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 100 block of Willow Street and trespassed one subject.
11:57 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a third party report of a trespass at the Elgin Community Center and Pool. A deputy responded and trespassed one subject.
2:58 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a drug law violation.
3:15 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a careless driver on the 3200 block of Alder Street. An officer responded and counseled the drivers.
3:18 p.m. La Grande police took a report of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle at Safeway.
10:55 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 900 block of Adams Avenue for a trespass and the subjects agreed to move along.
11:22 p.m. Pendleton Police Department arrested Mickkoltin Ray Morrison-Haines, 21, on a Union County parole and probation warrant.
TUESDAY, MAY 21
5:29 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 300 block of K Avenue for a report of a burglary. Officers arrested Russell Raymond Kahut, 59, for first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct.
8:02 a.m. A caller from the 2100 block of Third Street in La Grande requested assistance from the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an aggressive dog. An animal enforcement officer made contact and found that the situation had been resolved.
9:31 a.m. La Grande police responded to Spruce Street after receiving a call of a suspicious person. The subject was warned for disorderly conduct.
10:59 a.m. A caller informed La Grande police about a trespassing situation and a transient camp on the railroad access road. An officer responded and will follow up.
12:56 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about counterfeit money at the Chevron in Elgin. A deputy responded and took the items.
4:07 p.m. La Grande police took a call from La Grande School District about harassment. An officer made contact and referred the situation to the school resource officer.
4:11 p.m. A Union County Sheriff’s deputy noticed suspicious circumstances on a train traveling by Gekeler Lane and Highway 204 in La Grande. Law enforcement notified Union Pacific Railroad.
5:15 p.m. La Grande police took a report of shoplifting at Jay Dee’s Market.
5:24 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a wanted person on the 3000 block of Q Avenue. Officer responded and arrested Scott Mann, 39, on a Union County failure to appear warrant.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 22
1:57 a.m. During a field interrogation at Max Square, La Grande police arrested William Jay Dayton III, 31, on a Union County parole and probation detainer.
9:17 a.m. A caller informed the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a road hazard on the 66800 block of Hunter Road in Summerville. A deputy and the county road department were notified.
12:33 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a disturbance on the 2800 block of Fourth Street.
2:01 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a theft at Eastern Oregon University. An officer made contact and took a report.
2:49 p.m. La Grande police responded to Riverside Park after receiving a call about a disturbance. Officers separated the parties.
2:58 p.m. La Grande police received a call about harassment on the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue. An officer responded and forwarded the situation to the school resource officer.
3:45 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of theft on the 66200 block of North Powder River Lane in North Powder.
3:52 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a runaway from the 3000 block of Q Avenue.
7:20 p.m. La Grande police arrested Amber Renee MaGee, 34, of La Grande, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
7:50 p.m. A caller on the 62700 block of Buchanan Lane in La Grande told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about the unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. A deputy made contact and will follow up.
8:28 p.m. La Grande police took a report of harassment near the American Legion.
THURSDAY, MAY 23
7:24 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a disturbance on Spring Creek Road in La Grande. A deputy responded and separated the parties.
8:08 a.m. La Grande police took a report of a theft at the former Rite Aid building.
11:07 a.m. During a field interrogation on the 1300 block of Y Avenue, La Grande police arrested Dale James Burke, 29, for second-degree criminal mischief.
11:09 a.m. Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mauricio Rodriguez Ayala, 30, on a Malheur County failure to appear warrant.
11:14 a.m. La Grande police took a report for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at Grande Wood Apartments.
12:23 p.m. La Grande police responded to Arby’s for a report of a disturbance and trespassed one subject.
2:55 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a runaway from the 1600 block of Willow Street.

3:25 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of North 15th Avenue in Elgin for a disturbance. A deputy arrested Joshua Dipankar Ganguly, 36, on a Umatilla County failure to appear warrant.
3:55 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about suspicious circumstances at Spruce Street and V Avenue. Officers responded and warned the subject for disorderly conduct.
5:23 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a found runaway. An officer advised and the runaway returned to their parents.
6:19 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a domestic disturbance at Best Western Plus Rama Inn and Suites. Officers responded and warned one for disorderly conduct.
9:24 p.m. La Grande police arrested Brooke Elaine Miller, 33, on a Umatilla County warrant with an original charge of second-degree custodial interference.
FRIDAY, MAY 24
5:11 a.m. Anne Marie Wilson Tait, 54, was cited in lieu of lodging in Multnomah County.
9:11 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a suspicious vehicle at The La Grande Inn. An officer responded and trespassed two subjects.
10:22 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 1500 block of Monroe Avenue for a report of a suspicious person and warned the individual for disorderly conduct.
11:20 a.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a suspicious person at Island Express Lube and Car Wash in Island City. Law enforcement responded and warned the subject for disorderly conduct.
12:45 p.m. La Grande police received a call about disorderly conduct at Riverside Park. Officers, along with a Union County Sheriff’s deputy, responded and arrested Timothy Justin Griffith, 30, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
12:50 p.m. La Grande police took a report of an assault at Veterans’ Memorial Pool.
1:59 p.m. A Union County Sheriff’s deputy self-dispatched for a minor in possession of marijuana near La Grande Middle School and issued a citation.
2:51 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about a theft from a storage unit at Bearco Enterprises. An officer made contact and the reporting party wished for the incident to be documented.
3:19 p.m. La Grande police responded to Spruce Street and Y Avenue for a report of a careless driver. Officers arrested four juveniles and Jennifer Jean Johnson, 18. Johnson was arrested on three counts of fourth-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangering, two counts of disorderly conduct, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon and reckless driving.
3:22 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check from La Grande police on the 1600 block of Willow Street. An officer made contact and took the information. Police also found that the juvenile runaway had returned home.
3:34 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a recovered stolen vehicle at the west end of Adams Avenue. Oregon State Police handled the call.
5:07 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Patrick Piggott, 26, on two Union County failure to appear warrants.
SATURDAY, MAY 25
8:55 a.m. La Grande police responded to the Chevron Jacksons Food Stores for a report of a theft. Officers arrested Marisol P. Argueta for trespass.
10:10 a.m. Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ruben Shockman, 25, on a Union County parole and probation detainer.
11:33 a.m. During a field interrogation at Cherry Street and Russell Avenue in La Grande, the Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gregory Alan Bass, 43, of La grande, for possession and delivery of a controlled substance.
2:45 p.m. La Grande police arrested Lucas John Williamson, 27, of La Grande, for first-degree trespass at Safeway.
5:49 p.m. La Grande police took a report of theft on the 2100 block of Maple Street.
6:10 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about suspicious circumstances near Swire Coca-Cola. An officer responded and counseled three juveniles.
9:21 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an animal issue at Hu-Na-Ha RV Park in Elgin. A deputy responded and resolved the issue.
10:46 p.m. La Grande police arrested Clayton Atreyu Hammond, 22, on a Union County failure to appear warrant.

10:56 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Island City and arrested Gregory Alan Bass, 43, for third-degree shoplifting.
1:07 p.m. During a field interrogation at Cherry Street and Pine Street, La Grande police cited James David Garwood, 37, of La Grande, in lieu of custody for second-degree theft.
4:41 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about malfunctioning traffic lights near Adams Avenue and Fourth Street. Police notified the Oregon Department of Transportation.
5:12 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of shoplifting at Walmart in Island City.
6:48 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a disturbance at Walmart in Island City. A deputy responded and will follow up.
8:56 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Island City and cited Alexander William Dooley, 25, in lieu of lodging for criminal trespass.
9:04 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a runaway from the 3000 block of Q Avenue.
10:31 p.m. Oregon State Police arrested Demus Montez, 38, on a Union County probation warrant.
MONDAY, MAY 27
9:48 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a lost firearm from the 76600 block of Lookingglass Road in Elgin.
3:43 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a trespass on the 50700 block of Ladd Creek Road in La Grande. A deputy made contact and warned the subjects for trespassing.
3:49 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a missing child at the Elgin Stampede Grounds. The child was found before law enforcement arrived on scene.
5:04 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a trespass at Chevron Jacksons Food Stores. An officer responded and advised the subject to move along.
5:40 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a possible intoxicated driver near Elgin High School. A deputy made contact and took the information.
6:58 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 1200 block of Adams Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Officers warned one subject for disorderly conduct.
7:02 p.m. Union County Search and Rescue received a call about a lost subject. The individual was found before search and rescue responded.
7:11 p.m. Union County Search and Rescue received a call about people stuck in the woods. The situation was resolved prior to a response by search and rescue.
9:37 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Panda Express for a burglary alarm and secured the building.
11:11 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about a disturbance at North 14th Avenue and Baltimore Street in Elgin. A deputy, along with Oregon State Police, responded, and trespassed one subject.
11:57 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a noise disturbance near Roots-n-Stones. Officers responded and warned one subject for disorderly conduct.
TUESDAY, MAY 28
9:30 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a vehicle stolen near North Powder Cafe and Lounge.
10:09 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a drug investigation on the 2700 block of Birch Street in La Grande.
2:04 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about harassment at Big Smoke in Island City. The responding deputy counseled and separated the subjects.
3 p.m. La Grande police received a call about a suspicious vehicle at La Grande Chevron Foodmart. Officers responded and trespassed the subjects from the property.
7:03 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check from La Grande police for an individual at Adams Avenue and Elm Street. An officer responded and the person was picked up by a taxi.
9:13 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Highland View Apartments in Elgin for a juvenile disturbance. The situation was resolved.

12:14 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about unlawful entry into a motor vehicle on the 2100 block of Third Street. An officer reached out and took the information.
8:31 a.m. La Grande police took two reports of drug law violations at Green Tree Apartments.
9:38 a.m. La Grande police responded to the 2100 block of Third Street for a disturbance. Officers arrested Nathan Osterloh, 38, of La Grande, for second-degree disorderly conduct.
11:30 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office took a front counter report of harassment. A school resource officer made contact and will handle the situation within the school district.
12:45 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a missing person. Union County Search and Rescue, as well as deputies, responded and located the subject.
1:52 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 2200 block of Jefferson Avenue and trespassed one subject.
4:13 p.m. La Grande police received a call about shoplifting at La Grande Town Center. Officers responded and arrested Christopher Michael Frank, 28, for third-degree theft.
4:51 p.m. A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about possible animal cruelty on the 70 block of North Fourth Avenue in Elgin. A deputy made contact and will follow up.
6:45 p.m. La Grande police arrested Michael Thomas Heard, 57, on a Union County secret indictment warrant with original charges of first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, wildlife violation and first-degree criminal mischief.
8:15 p.m. La Grande police took a report of a runaway from the 3000 block of Q Avenue.
9:39 p.m. During a field interrogation at Island Avenue and Interstate 84, La Grande police arrested Blaine Taylor, 45, on two Union County failure to appear warrants.
11:31 p.m. La Grande police took a noise complaint on the 1100 block of F Avenue. An officer responded and warned the subject for a noise ordinance violation.

7:01 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about a hit-and-run to a fire hydrant at V Avenue and Willow Street. An officer responded and will follow up.
8:28 a.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a request for assistance with campers overstaying their visit on Fox Hill Road. A deputy reached out and will follow up.
8:32 a.m. La Grande police received a call about possible vandalism to a vehicle on the 1200 block of Adams Avenue. An officer reached out and took the information.
10:12 a.m. A caller told La Grande police about careless traffic at 16th Street and Gekeler Lane. An officer responded and warned the driver.
12:47 p.m. La Grande police took a parking complaint near Community Merchants. A parking enforcement officer responded and cited one vehicle.
2:09 p.m. While out with a vehicle at The La Grande Inn, police arrested Taylor Rachelle McBride, 30, on a Union County warrant with original charges of second-degree criminal mischief and menacing.
4:08 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Island City for shoplifting. A deputy arrested Reanna Mae Marsh, 27, for third-degree theft.
4:16 p.m. A caller told La Grande police about criminal mischief on the 100 block of Adams Avenue. Officers responded and cited three juveniles.
4:36 p.m. While being lodged in Union County Jail, La Grande police arrested Sean Robert Stellings, 29, on six Union County failure to appear warrants.
4:56 p.m. The Union County Sheriff’s Office cited Joshua Caleb Meier, 35, while lodging in Union County Jail for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.
8:29 p.m. While out doing follow up on the 2800 block of Fourth Street, La Grande police arrested Ricia Marylee Shepherd, 39, on three Union County failure to appear warrants.
8:54 p.m. La Grande police responded to the 500 block of Lake Avenue for a disturbance. Officers resolved the situation and separated the parties.
