LA GRANDE — After a 12-10 season record, including a first-round loss to eventual 4A state champions Scappoose, nine members of the La Grande baseball team picked up 4A Greater Oregon League team honors after voting was tallied from the league’s coaches.

Four La Grande players picked up first-team honors. Senior Kai Carson departs the squad as a first-team infield player. Fellow senior Carter Peasley was also picked for his work in the outfield with a first-team notification. The third first team honor also went to senior Quinten Theiler, who was chosen first-team utility player. For his work with the bat, junior Carter Seaquist was chosen as the first-team designated hitter.

The remaining five players representing La Grande picked up second-team honors. Due to being a four-team league, the Greater Oregon League does not name honorable mention.

Sophomore Landon Hood leads the listing for second team as an infielder. Junior Marshall Begin also picked up the votes for second team for his work as a first baseman. Senior Griffin McLlmoil also was chosen second team as an outfielder.

Both sides of home plate also saw second team honors. Senior pitcher Lakoda Huff made the listing as did his catcher, sophomore Ryder Mcllmoil.
