LA GRANDE, ENTERPRISE — Faith Lutheran Church will hold two services this Sunday, June 23: 10 a.m. in La Grande and 2 p.m. in Enterprise.

The sermon will use Mark 4:26-34. In these verses Jesus is explaining about the Kingdom of God with agricultural teaching points: Seed is scattered by a man (understood as Christians), and a plant grows. “first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear” (verse 28).

The sermon will focus on the meaning of Jesus’ teaching, that God provides nourishment and support for growth in the Christian faith that allows his faithful people to develop for noble use.
