Church highlights for the week of Dec. 1

La Grande First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 901 Penn Ave., La Grande: The church will gather for worship at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 1, the first Sunday of Advent. Adult Bible will be at 9:30 a.m. The suggested food bank donation is soup.
On Monday, Mighty Men Bible Study will meet at 11 a.m. and Bible Sleuths will meet at 3:30 p.m. On Thursday, the Homemakers’ Bible Study will meet at 1:30 p.m., Chimes practice will be at 3:30 p.m., and the choir will practice at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11:30 will be the Christian Women’s Fellowship Christmas program and party. Members are asked to bring finger foods to share. A collection of baby wipes and diapers (size 4-6) for Shelter from the Storm will be collected.
