UNION COUNTY — The Union County Board of Commissioners have a packed agenda for the regular session meeting Wednesday, Jan. 22, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 K Ave. in La Grande.

Commissioners will hear from Waste-Pro’s operations manager Darin Larvik regarding two fee updates. The first resolution commissioners will consider would update the fees for Waste Pro’s on-route collection service, and the second would update the fees for the transfer site.

Chelsea Hewitt with Certified Public Accountants will present the 2023-24 audit before commissioners hear from Union County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Nick Huelter about the state Criminal Justice Commission grant award and Public Works Director Doug Wright about the airport project bid award.

The county’s legal counsel Wyatt Baum also will provide clarification about terms limits.

Commissioners will receive an update about the opioid abatement advisory committee and receive funding recommendations regarding the wolf depredation advisory committee.
