LA GRANDE — The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation is gearing up for its annual fundraising gala.
The gala will be on April 5 starting at 5 p.m., according to the foundation’s manager, Patrick Flynn. The evening aims to bring together community members and health care professionals to celebrate the success of the Healthier Together Campaign and continue raising funds to help improve local health care services.
“We are looking forward to this year’s gala and celebrating the generosity of our community,” Flynn said. “This event not only highlights what we’ve achieved together but also helps ensure that quality health care remains available for everyone in Eastern Oregon.”
Proceeds raised at the gala go toward the Healthier Together Campaign, Flynn said, which aims to raise $7.5 million to help grow capacity at Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics. This not only includes supporting projects like the newly completed surgical services building, but also the remodel of the vacated space for other departments to expand into.
This year the gala will be in the Gilbert Center at Eastern Oregon University. Flynn said the theme is “The Sky is the Limit.” Attendees will be treated to an evening of dining and entertainment.
Eastern’s dining vendor, Genuine Foods, is catering the dinner.
“We’ve been impressed by their high-quality food,” Flynn said.
He added that attendees also will experience “a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of fun” with the Boise-based entertainment group Idaho Dueling Pianos.
The evening wraps up with raffle drawings and farewells. Raffle tickets are available online ahead of time or the night of the gala. Prizes include a one-week “choose your own adventure” getaway, a three-night Oregon getaway and a host of items or services.
The event is limited to 176 seats. Gala and raffle tickets are available online at www.grh.org/foundationevent or by contacting the foundation by email at foundation@grh.org or via phone at 541-963-1431.
