Northeast Oregon Rangelands Summit premieres April 3 at EOU

LA GRANDE — Local landowners and producers can take part April 3 in the inaugural Northeast Oregon Rangelands Summit.

Wallowa Resources, Oregon State University and the Western Landowners Alliance are organizing the summit, which will explore how to learn from the past and lean into the future when it comes to managing working lands in 2025.

Presenters will discuss key issues facing rangelands, including invasive annual grasses, wildfire response and impact, and grazing flexibility. Tip Hudson, host of the Art of Range podcast, is the keynote speaker.

The summit runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hoke 339 at Eastern Oregon University’s campus in La Grande, 1 University Boulevard.
