Merkley announces upcoming town halls

EASTERN OREGON — Oregon’s junior U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley announced he is holding four town hall meetings in Eastern Oregon. Three are on Saturday, April 12, and the fourth is Sunday, April 13.
April 12
• 10:30 a.m. at Hermiston High School commons, 600 S. First St., Hermiston.
• 2 p.m. at the La Grande High School auditorium, 708 K Ave., La Grande.
• 5:30 p.m. at the Joseph Community Events Center, 100 E. First St.
April 13
• 11:45 a.m. at the Baker High School auditorium, 2500 E St., Baker City.
The Joseph City Council agreed at its April 3 meeting to allow the senator to use the events center free of charge in response to a request from the senator to reduce costs.
Merkley also will hold town halls April 13-15 in Malheur, Harney, Lake, Klamath, Curry, Coos and Douglas counties.
