Union County Commissioners consider revising zoning, partition and subdivision ordinance

UNION COUNTY — The Union County Board of Commissioners at its meeting Wednesday, April 16, will consider revising the zoning, partition and subdivision ordinance.
The meeting, which includes a public hearing on the revisions, begins at 9 a.m. in the Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 K Ave. in La Grande. The public hearing on the ordinance is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
Prior to the public hearing the board will hear from elected officials, department heads and employees.
County Assessor Cody Vavra will discuss a resolution authoring the participation in the assessment and taxation grant.
Public Works Director will share information about awarding a masticator head attachment bid and Weed Supervisor Brian Clapp will share the 2025 noxious weed list. Planning Director Igna Williams will discuss permitting and inspection of the onsite wastewater treatment systems.
The commissioners will will get an update on the Buffalo Flats Project.
