High school girls basketball: Balanced attack helps Powder Valley roll past Pine Eagle

HALFWAY — Seven Badgers reached the scoring column to help Powder Valley overwhelm Pine Eagle, 41-18, in Old Oregon League action on Friday, Jan. 26, in Halfway.
The win is the fifth straight for Powder Valley, which scored 19 points in the first half followed by a 22-point second half. The Badgers did struggle a bit from the free-throw line, going just 5-for-12 for 42% in the victory.
Jodi Bingham led the scoring with 12 points. Both Ayla Bingham and Jaycee Gray added six points and Kellee Dixon and Jacey Anderson each finished with five points.
Powder Valley (13-6 overall, 6-1 1A Old Oregon League) now prepares for a home game against Imbler (15-5 overall, 5-1 1A Old Oregon League) on Feb. 2.
Three teams, Powder Valley, Imbler and Echo, have only a single Old Oregon League loss, while Echo remains league perfect. All four teams boast a top-16 standing within the state’s 1A rankings.
