Oregon State Police cited five drivers who failed to stop at the scales on I-84

LA GRANDE — Oregon State Police issued five criminal citations between Jan. 26-27 to drivers bypassing the Oregon Department of Transportation scales on Interstate 84 at milepost 258, according to the OSP media log.
Troopers at the weigh station scales were able to overtake and pull over the commercial motor vehicles that failed to stop, according to the OSP. The drivers were escorted back to the scales.
Mihail Sis, 34, was cited for failure to comply and failure to stop and weigh, according to the media log. Daniel Alejandro Quintero, 35, of Miami, Florida, and Furkat Akhmadov, 49, were cited for failure to comply. Daljit Singh, 35, of Fresno, California, and George Vladimir Chumachenko, 24, were cited for failure to stop and weigh.
