Services held in Union and Wallowa counties
NORTHEAST OREGON — Members of the Faith Lutheran Church congregations will meet for worship at 10 a.m. in La Grande and 2 p.m. in Enterprise on Sunday, Jan. 28
The sermon at both services will expound on Jesus’ teaching that caused unclean spirits to submit to his word. Jesus rebuked an unclean spirit with “Be silent, and come out of him!” (Mark 1:25-26). Christians recognize the power of God’s word for removal of that which is unclean and for salvation: “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).
Potluck follows worship
LA GRANDE — The La Grande United Methodist Church will worship Sunday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. The sermon, based on Mark 1:21-28, is titled, “Who’s in Charge?” A potluck follows the service.
