LA GRANDE — Caeden Barrett led all scorers with 17 points for La Grande and Landon Hood, Kalvin Iohp and Aaron Weaver each added eight points to lead the Tigers to an easy 52-29 win over 3A Nyssa on Wednesday, Jan. 3, in La Grande.

“This was a great team win,” La Grande head coach Shawn Brooks said. “We played great team defense which led to some easy baskets to get the momentum going. Mathias Fields and Quinten Theiler had great defense to disrupt their offense.”

The Tigers steadily improved throughout the night, scoring eight points in the first quarter and ending the game with a 16-point final quarter.

La Grande (4-9 overall) are back on the bus on Jan. 5 for a nonleague game against Crook County (6-4 overall).
