SATURDAY, FEB. 17
5:31 a.m.: Law enforcement received a request for a welfare check near Walmart in Island City. The responding officers found the subject was sleeping and the person was not happy to be woken up.
12:07 p.m.: A caller told the La Grande police about criminal mischief near the Department of Motor Vehicles. An officer responded and counseled the subject.
12:49 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen vehicle at Kingsbury Lane and Darr Road in Elgin.
1:37 p.m.: A caller on the 1900 block of Cedar Street requested a security check from La Grande police for an open door. An officer responded and determined the building was unoccupied.
3:17 p.m.: La Grande police received a call about a suspicious person who was possibly trespassing on the railroad tracks on the 3000 block of Island Avenue. Law enforcement responded and counseled the subject.
5:30 p.m.: La Grande police responded to the 200 block of Cook Avenue for a report of a homeless encampment and found the camp unoccupied.
7:01 p.m.: Law enforcement received a call about a possible trespass on the 61900 block of Cottonwood Road in La Grande. Union County Sheriff’s Office, La Grande Police and Oregon State Police responded. Heather Blaylock, 44, was arrested for trespass.
7:29 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on the 57900 block of Godley Road in Union and separated the parties.
7:53 p.m.: La Grande police received a call about a domestic disturbance at Pinehurst Apartments. Officers responded and determined the argument was verbal only. Both subjects were warned for disorderly conduct.
9:03 p.m.: A La Grande police officer noticed an individual getting into a dumpster on the 2600 block of Bearco Loop and told the person to move along.
9:33 p.m.: La Grande police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 400 block of Division Avenue and separated the parties.
SUNDAY, FEB. 18
10:25 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about a trespass at Safeway. Officers responded and arrested Ruben Kenneth Richard Shockman, 25, for trespass.
11:22 a.m.: A caller told La Grande police about a suspicious vehicle on the 800 block of Miller Drive. An officer responded and determined everything was OK.
1:40 p.m.: La Grande police received a call about a suspicious vehicle at Cimmaron Manor Apartments. An officer responded and the subject agreed to move the vehicles.
1:59 p.m.: La Grande police trespassed one subject from Monroe Lane and Island Avenue.
3 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a theft at D&B Supply.
5:07 p.m.: La Grande police took a complaint of a sex crime.
5:36 p.m.: A caller from the 71400 block of Palmer Junction Road told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about alleged harassment.
7:53 p.m.: La Grande police received a call about harassment on the 1300 block of X Avenue.
9:42 p.m.: La Grande police took a call about a possible minor in possession at Safeway. An officer made contact with the store manager and law enforcement provided extra patrol of the area.
MONDAY, FEB. 19
3:48 a.m.: A caller told La Grande police about an assault at Travelodge by Wyndham. Officers responded and determined the incident did not rise to the level of a mandatory arrest.
11:50 a.m.: La Grande police took a call about a suspicious vehicle near La Grande Auto Repair.
2:24 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a restraining order violation on the 59700 block of Highway 2023 in Union.
3:16 p.m.: La Grande police took a report for a firearms transfer denial at Oregon Trail Trader.
3:26 p.m.: A caller told La Grande police about a disturbance at Fir Street and Madison Avenue. An officer responded and warned the subjects for disorderly conduct.
3:42 p.m.: Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a transient camp on Emily Drive in Island City.
4:24 p.m.: La Grande police took a report of a stolen vehicle at Texaco La Grande.
6:41 p.m.: La Grande police received a suspicious call from the 800 block of Lake Avenue. An officer responded and counseled a juvenile about the use of 911.
11:39 p.m.: A caller requested contact from La Grande police regarding criminal mischief at the Green Tree Apartments.
TUESDAY, FEB. 20
12:39 a.m.: La Grande police responded to the Thunderbird-Cove Apartments for a report of a disturbance and warned one subject for disorderly conduct.
7:42 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about an assault at Grande Ronde Retirement Residence. An officer responded and cited James Maxwell, 76, for fourth-degree assault.
8:05 a.m.: La Grande police investigated a transient camp at Interstate-84 and Island Avenue and told the subjects to move along.
10:24 a.m.: A Union County Sheriff’s deputy observed a theft at Safeway. The situation was resolved and one subject was trespassed from the store.
11:19 a.m.: La Grande police took a call about a trespass at the Veterans Affairs Clinic. An officer responded and advised one subject to leave the area.
11:29 a.m.: La Grande police received a call about telephonic harassment on the 2100 block of Third Street.
11:48 a.m.: La Grande police took a call about telephonic harassment at Nate Conklin State Farm Insurance Agent.
12:37 p.m.: A caller told La Grande police about a possible restraining order violation on the 2900 block of Third Street. Officers responded and arrested Aristeo Rubioroque, 40, for a restraining order violation.
2:58 p.m.: La Grande police cited Shyla Marie Jordan, 48, for second-degree criminal mischief.
3:30 p.m.: La Grande police took a report of a burglary on the 2800 block of Fourth Street.
3:36 p.m.: During a field interrogation at Walmart in Island City, Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles Preston Wilson, 47, on a Union County warrant with original charges of unlawful use of a weapon and second-degree menacing.
4:08 p.m.: A caller told the Union County Sheriff’s Office about the location of a runaway in Union.up.
4:58 p.m.: La Grande police responded to a report of a disturbance at Orchard Motel and warned the subject for disorderly conduct.
5:54 p.m.: La Grande police arrested Dale Wesley Lahr, 36, on a probation and parole detainer.
8:50 p.m.: La Grande police responded to a call of a juvenile disturbance on the 700 block of South 12th Street. The subject went to the hospital in a personally owned vehicle.
