IMBLER – Small 1A schools across the area are celebrating Senior Night as the final home basketball games of the season take place in local gyms. For most small schools, a typical celebration involves three or four seniors joined by parents, balloons and a basket of goodies at center court.
Not the case at Imbler High School.
The Panthers’ Senior Night took a little more time than usual as 10 seniors were honored by the crowd.
“I was so happy for the 10 seniors and their parents,” said Imbler coach Tony Haddock. “This was a special night for them. Eight of the seniors played this season with the other two having surgeries that kept them out all season.”
After all the celebration, Imbler took a 81-22 1A Old Oregon League victory over the visiting Spartans, placing an exclamation point on the special evening.
Those playing their final regular season game before the home fans were Jeremiah Martin, Kale Bingaman, Wyatt Burns, Trevor Treat, Dallin Rasmussen, Jake Bingaman, Henry Treat, Eli Mola, Justin Frost and Clinton Tarvin.
