High school boys wrestling: Coaches picking Tigers top three at state

PORTLAND — The state wrestling tournament kicks off Thursday, Feb. 22, starting at noon in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
The Oregon School Activities Association on Feb. 21 released the final poll of the season as voted upon by the state’s wrestling coaches.
According to the coaches, La Grande is a top-three team at the tournament, picked to finish behind only Crook County and the team picked to take the title, Sweet Home. Pendleton is picked sixth in the 4A poll.
In the 2A/1A division, Elgin is picked to finish fourth place at state, according to coaches. Illinois Valley is picked to take home the team title with Willamina in second and Toledo just above the Huskies in third.
