UNION — The Union Carnegie Public Library invites children with a reading equivalency of fourth-sixth grade to join the “Dreams in the Golden Country” youth book club. The librarian will read aloud to the group while kids complete a Lego Statue of Liberty or to freestyle build.

The club will meet on Fridays in April, beginning April 5, from 10-11 a.m. in the Eaton room.

The purpose of this group is to be a historical cultural study and discussion of immigrants entering America. It is funded by an Oregon Humanities grant. Contact the library for full details and to sign up.
