LA GRANDE — No. 11-ranked Eastern Oregon swept a three-game weekend series with Bushnell over the weekend.
On Friday, Kylie Hoskins went nine innings and tied her own school record with 17 strikeouts in a one-hitter as the Mounties prevailed 2-1. Bushnell fought back in the seventh inning as Suzi Krstic came through for the Beacons with a single to right field, driving in Haleigh Wambolt to even the score.
Durham was the hero for EOU as she smacked a walk-off single to center, scoring Addison Ribordy.
EOU won the second game 6-0 with three runs coming in the first inning. Karly Hanosky started the offense with a single to right field, driving in Haley Tyree. Shortly after, Kelly Monaghan delivered a single to right field, bringing home Durham and Hanosky.
Kylie Parsons got the shoutout, allowing one hit and striking out 10 in seven innings.
