LA GRANDE — Local baseball and softball fans stayed home instead of sitting in the stands as games were cancelled on Friday, April 19.

The anticipated doubleheader between La Grande and Pendleton was called off. No makeup date has been announced but as the two games were league matchups, the Buckaroos will need to make the trip to La Grande in the next few weeks.

The Elgin/Imbler softball team was also set to host Irrigon in a district game. This game also was called off with no date set for the two teams to meet. Again, as the game features two 2A/1A Special District 7 foes, a new date will be needed.
