I wish to recommend Kathleen Cathey to you for the position of Union County commissioner. I am a pharmacist and business owner with my husband, John, of Murray’s Drug located in Heppner, Condon and Boardman. I have worked with Kathleen for many years on pharmacy issues as she was the Eastern Oregon representative for Sen. Wyden.

Kathleen knows how to get things done. She coordinated help for us during Covid when the PPP loans first came out local banks were not being allowed to give these loans. Within 24 hours and with Sen. Wyden’s help, the U.S. Treasury Secretary authorized our local bank to participate in the program. We also have had Kathleen’s help fighting for rural pharmacies to provide services in the critical access areas of Oregon.

Kathleen uses common sense to get things accomplished. She thoroughly knows Eastern Oregon, having represented 11 counties. Her contacts and knowledge will bring a great deal of experience to the position of county commissioner.
