We are excited to exercise our right to vote in the upcoming election. As I sat down to review the voters’ pamphlet and read each candidate’s statement, I was surprised to see three candidates listed as Republican and Democrat.
Todd Nash, Bobby Levy and Greg Smith — which party are they aligned with?
I have never seen a candidate campaigning for both of our major parties, though you do see folks running who are listed with affiliations to two or more of the smaller parties (Independent, Green, etc.). I went online to see which party these candidates represent. All three are affiliated with the Republican Party.
Why are they listed as both parties in the voters’ pamphlet? Is anyone else confused by this?
This is why I will vote for Tania Wildbill for Oregon state senator for District 29, to replace outgoing Sen. Bill Hansell. She will represent all of us in this district without misrepresenting anything.
