LA GRANDE — Morgan Lake reopened for day users and campers on Saturday, April 22.

However, the lake was not able to be stocked with fish by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife prior to the start of the 2023 fishing season due to the lake still being frozen, according to La Grande Parks and Recreation Director Stu Spence.

The lake will be stocked by ODFW as soon as the weather conditions improve.
