LA GRANDE – The Eastern Oregon men’s soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals to secure a 3-1 victory over Bushnell on Friday.

EOU scored the lone goal of the first half when Abner Hernandez found the back of the net off an assist from Yonas Mekonnen. Daniel Kropf made it 2-0 early in the second half and Milton Hernandez scored unassisted in the 52nd minute to make it 3-0.

Jay Jay Van Der Velde had Bushnell’s only goal.

Eastern Oregon had the edge in shots with 17 attempts compared to Bushnell’s 14. Both teams were close in saves, with Eastern Oregon’s goalkeeper making four saves and Bushnell’s making three.

EOU is 3-7-4 overall and 3-5-2 in conference play.
