James Edward McConnell, 56, of Pendleton and formerly of La Grande, Elgin, Enterprise and Wallowa, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, in Walla Walla, Washington. A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Pendleton National Guard Hangar, followed immediately by a graveside service at Olney Cemetery, Pendleton. Arrangements are under the direction of Sweeney Mortuary, Heppner.
