The Fighting Saints took the lead early in the fourth quarter when Jack Prka bulled in from a yard out to cap a 13-play, 76-yard drive to go up 7-6. They scored less than three minutes later to make it 14-6 when EOU quarterback Quincy Glasper was sacked and lost the ball before Forrest Suero returned it for the score.
EOU’s scores came on 20- and 25-yard field goals, respectively, but it was a game defined by missed chances. The Mountaineers outgained Carroll 286-213 but were only able to get two field goals in their three trips inside the 20.
