BAKER CITY — The La Grande girls basketball team may wish to schedule a few more games in Baker City. Playing two games in two days in the Baker gym, the Tigers scored 141 points and grabbed two nonleague wins.

The scoring onslaught started with a 71-9 win over Estacada on Friday, Dec. 8, followed by a 70-30 victory over Molalla on Dec. 9.

The Estacada game saw every player on the La Grande roster add to the 71-point total led by Rowan Evans’ 15 points. Olivia Pennington put in 12 points and Mazie Wilcox added nine points.

In the win over Molalla, Kayle Collman led the Tigers with 20 points, while Evans had 10 points.

La Grande (5-1 overall) has little time to dwell on the blowouts as the team is on the road on Dec. 9 to Kurtz Gym to meet The Dalles (2-1 overall).
