BAKER CITY — La Grande found its first win of the year while also picking up an additional loss on a weekend trip to Baker High School.

In nonleague play, the Tigers took the court in Baker on Friday, Dec. 8, against Estacada. Behind from the start, Estacada handed La Grande its fifth loss in a row, downing the Tigers 57-40.

The following day, La Grande picked up their first win of the year, an overtime 50-47 victory over Molalla.

Team and individual statistics were not available for the two games.

La Grande (1-5 overall) are back at home on Dec. 14 facing Fruitland, Idaho. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
