UNION — The conclusion of the fall sports season has also come with success in the classroom for four Union High School teams.

The Union football team maintained a grade point average of 3.51, second in the state among 1A 8-man teams.

The football team’s counterparts in the gym, the Bobcat volleyball team, ended the fall season with a 3.72 GPA, tied with St. Paul for eighth place in the state’s 1A volleyball teams.

The combined boys cross-country team of Union and Cove placed fourth among 2A/1A teams statewide, finishing the fall with a 3.78 grade point average. The girls cross-country team of Union and Cove tied for seventh statewide with Valley Catholic as both teams scored a 3.87 in the classroom.
