High school boys soccer: Six Tigers earn all-league honors

LA GRANDE — With the close of the boys soccer season, coaches of the 4A Greater Oregon League came together to decide all-league honors, and six La Grande players were recognized for their efforts during the season.

Two Tigers picked up first-team honors after the voting was tabulated. For his efforts on the defensive side of the field, senior Pedro Campanha Buccini closes out his high school career as a first-team selection. He is joined by senior middle Max Andrew.

Second-team honorees included three La Grande players: junior Kasen Carlson, sophomore Isaiah Kast and junior Sirak Kellogg.

Senior goalkeeper Owen Seaquist was named honorable mention for his efforts on the year.

After coaching the Pendleton Buckaroos to a league title, Kevin Johnson was chosen as coach of the year by his peers. Pendleton’s Rene Ortega was named player of the year.
