OHA reports 19 new COVID-19 cases in Union County

SALEM — The Oregon Health Authority released its daily COVID-19 report on Wednesday, Feb. 23, revealing 19 new cases in Union County. Wallowa County tallied two cases in the latest report.
The new cases increased Union County’s total case count to 4,980 since the start of the pandemic, while Wallowa County’s total increased to 1,227.
Across the state, 1,160 new confirmed and presumptive cases were reported by OHA — Oregon’s total case count reached 690,481. The latest report showed 35 COVID-19 deaths, which brought the state’s death toll to 6,519.
The report showed that there are currently 579 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 across the state, which is a decrease of 18 patients from yesterday’s daily report.
Out of 672 total adult ICU beds in the state, 93 are currently available. There are 304 available adult non-ICU beds out of 4,352.
Oregon’s seven-day running average of vaccine doses per day is currently 4,514.
