Hunter ed class, field day planned

ENTERPRISE — A hunter education class and field day will take place Saturday, March 26, put on by the Eagle Cap Shooters Association, according to a press release.

The hunter education class with a review and exam will be 9-11 a.m. at the American Legion/VFW Hall located at 800 N. River St. in Enterprise. It will be followed from noon to 2 p.m. with the live-fire field day at the Eagle Cap Shooters Range north of Enterprise at 69105 Ant Flat Road.

Interested parties are urged to register soon. The class is limited to 15 students and all must register with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife by going to the ODFW website at www.dfw.state.or.us.

Once on the website, create and account, click on Purchase from Catalogue, Class/Workshop and View All. Click on Enterprise and view more details.

The course costs $10 which you add to the cart. This will register the student for the class with field day.

Students must complete an online course and bring proof of completion to attend this ODFW field Day. There will be a multiple-choice written exam. Find the course at https://myodfw.com/hunter-education-classes-and-field-days-schedule.

Do not bring your own firearm or ammunition to the field day; all euipment is provided. Plan to bring a lunch.
