OHA reports nine new COVID-19 cases in Wallowa County, five in Union County

SALEM — The Oregon Health Authority’s daily report on Tuesday, Nov. 2, showed nine new cases of COVID-19 in Wallowa County and five in Union County.

The newly reported cases bring the total in Union County to 3,273 since the start of the pandemic, while Wallowa County stands at 714.

Across Oregon, 1,123 new confirmed and presumptive cases were reported,. The state’s total is now 368,694 since the start of the pandemic. The report revealed 29 new deaths across the state, bringing the death toll to 4,405.

The update showed 537 patients in Oregon hospitalized with COVID-19, which is a decrease of three patients from the previous report. There are currently 116 COVID-19 patients in ICU beds.

In Oregon there are 39 available adult ICU beds out of 678 total, while 252 adult non-ICU beds are open out of 4,111.

The report showed that the state’s seven-day running average of vaccine doses per day is 16,664.
