The 26th annual Two-Man Best Ball tournament concluded Sunday. The Prostate Cancer Foundation was the big winner thanks to the generosity of Lindon Higbee, president of Frontier Motors of Island City. Frontier Motors contributed $15 per player for all of the 108 participants to compete in the Closest to the Pin contest on Saturday of the two-day event. Bob Funkhouser of La Grande won the Arnold Palmer autographed putter with his winning shot.

Jared Blaylock and Ron Evans, both of La Grande, teamed for a two-day total of 137. Evans and Blaylock won the low gross in Division 1. Ricky Gloria and Derek Primus finished four strokes back with a 136.

Also in the top division Rob Lane, La Grande, and Rob Stuart, Portland, won the low net with 119. Runners up were Beau Wilandsen and Clint Williams, both of La Grande, shooting a 122.

In Division 2 Albin, La Grande and Josh Presley, Prescott, Ariz., won the low gross with a 143. Phil Menduguren and Monte Reed, both of La Grande combined for to shoot 152, finishing second.

Larry Youngberg and Lyle Reimers, both from Lewiston, won the low net, carding a 121 two-day total. La Grande residents Dan Bowen and Keith Cheney finished one stroke back with a 122.

The La Grande Country Club will host two tournaments this weekend- The Nite Lite Tournament Friday, and the Adam Ivins Tournament Saturday.
