Phyllis Holderness, 87, of Portland and formerly of La Grande, died April 5 in Gresham. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. April 13 at the Island City Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A viewing will be at the church from noon until the service time. An obituary will be published at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels~Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.

Janet Helen Jeffords, 81, of Wallowa, died April 6. There will be a Remembrance of Life gathering from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22 at the Wallowa Senior Center for Janet and her husband, Ray, who died in January. Friends of the family are invited to attend and are asked to bring a favorite dish to share at the potluck.
