A La Grande woman was arrested after police investigated a report of missing money from a purse that was found in the parking lot at Walmart, according to a press release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the press release, a La Grande woman reported she left her purse in a shopping cart Saturday after she finished her shopping at the Island City Walmart. The purse was later turned in to the Walmart customer service area. However, the victim reported a large amount of cash and other items missing from the purse when she retrieved it.

After an investigation by the UCSO, Ilean Fuller, 47, was arrested on Monday and charged with second-degree theft of lost, misplaced or misdelivered items, a Class A misdemeanor. Fuller was also charged with possession of a controlled substance II, a Class B felony. Fuller was lodged and booked in the Union County Jail.
