ROBBER STRIKES LA GRANDE BANK

- La Grande Police are seeking help in identifying this person who robbed the Union Wallowa Baker Federal Credit Union Friday just before 5 p.m. (BANK SURVEILLANCE VIDEO photos).
LA GRANDE Police are seeking the public’s help today as they try to locate a bank robber.
Friday afternoon, at 4:56 p.m., an armed suspect was able to leave the Union Wallowa Baker Federal Credit Union, at 3 Depot St. in La Grande, with an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to La Grande Police and an FBI agent working on the case, the suspect who entered the bank and demanded money is a white male, about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall with a slight to average build.
He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a ski mask and dark glasses.
The suspect, pictured in the photos taken from the credit union’s security cameras, left on foot with cash. He was last seen moving at a brisk pace toward the north, in the direction of Depot Street, not toward Fourth Street.
Anyone recognizing the suspect, or knowing anything about the robbery, is asked to call the La Grande Police Department Detective Division at 963-1017.
