Brian Abell, a 1976 graduate of La Grande High School, has been named manager of Loveland Funeral Chapel, owner Kevin Loveland announced.

Abell, who graduated in 1980 from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 22 years, has worked and managed funeral homes in various locations in Oregon. He most recently worked in Prineville, Loveland said. There he was active in the community, including serving as president of the Crook County Chamber of Commerce.

"Brian will be a welcome addition to our staff and will help us to better serve the needs of our business," Loveland said.
