UNION COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

CONDITIONAL USE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Planning Commission, meeting in regular session, February 25, 2008, 7:00 p.m., Daniel Chaplin Building Conference Room, 1001 4th Street, La Grande, will consider a Conditional Use application submitted by George Simonis to establish a second accessory farm dwelling for a family member. The dwelling would be located just west of George and Darlene Simonis’ dwelling on property located about 6 1/2 miles south of the City of La Grande along Foothill County Road and described as Twp. 4S, Range 38 EWM, Tax Lots 1701 & 1705 and Twp. 4S, Range 38 EWM, Sec. 02, Tax Lots 600 & 601, about 332. 26 total acres, in an A-1 Exclusive Farm Use Zone.

The Applicable Land Use Regulations are found in Section 2.05 of the Union County Zoning, Partition and Subdivision Ordinance & OAR 660-033-0130 (9). Failure to raise a specific issue with sufficient specificity at the local level precludes appeal to LUBA based on that issue. The application and all information related to the proposal are available for review at no cost and copies can be supplied at a reasonable cost. A staff report will be available for review seven days before the hearing, and can be supplied at a reasonable cost. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, a public hearing will be held in the Joseph Building Annex Conference Room, 1106 K Ave., La Grande, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., to consider the annexation of property owned by Don & Rachel Edmondson into the Elgin Rural Fire Protection District. The property is located at 71441 Summerville Road and is described as follows:

In Township 1 North, Range 39 East of the Willamette Meridian

Section 17: The southwest quarter of the southwest quarter.
